Friday the 13th Part VII Timeline is Almost Officially Solved
New Info/Disclaimer
It was pointed out to me about the conflict of my own research and a new post will be given this info is now semi-deemed inaccurate a new and a improved version will be uploaded and linked back here thank you for your support for reading these lengthy given forum posts!- Old Content:
Credits to @Mario Kirner for a screenshot of this on the auction website! this now helps place an age/birth year for Tina Shepard while solving the timeline!
So if Tina Shepard is about 12 years old at the start of Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood opening scene where we see her father John Shepard being both verbal/physically abusive then we have to use some small math to figure out the timeline! (I'm also trying to figure out the Calender date from the opening as well!)
If we take that Jason Lives takes place in 1991 the most logical timeline placement and if Tina Shepard is about twelve during the prologue this leaves a major jump in the timeline! how do you ask?
The prologue is in 1993 when Tina Shepard is 12 years old since it's directly stated:
"We go down through murky depths. Down until we come to Ethan [Jason] as he exists today! He is the worn living corpse that has rotted for more than seven years at the lake's bottom." - Official Script
If it's a 7-year time skip from what we see from 1986 (aka Jason is trapped by Tommy) course it would be 1993 and if she is 12 in 1993 from the Part VII prologue then we gotta subtract 12 years from 1993 and then we will have Tina's birth year which she would be born in 1981!
Visual:
1993=12
1994=13
1995=14
1996=15
1997=16
1998=17
1999=18
The time skip from the flashback (Script) to the current events would make it another 6/7-year time skip! which does give a huge disclosure to the late and great John Carl Buechlers open commentary about it being an opening script of "10 years" since Jason Lives til the new blood which in-affect makes it a 12-year-long time skip gap!John Carl Buechler Words?
I know someone is gonna say "But John said it's been 10 years since Jason lives?" This could be from the saying "Top of the Head" which is a term meaning someone said something without thinking about it much before they speak, especially due to the person not having a lot of time to process everything.
If we go by the 10-year gap statement this means The New Blood prologue would have taken place in 1996 and that would be too much of a short time period and it means that Part VII would have taken place in 2001 and not in the late 1990s and adding on to the 1996+7 years=2003 which means Freddy Vs Jason would be the same year which isn't true!The prologue scene for Friday the 13th The New Blood shows Kane Hodder's cameo as Part 6 Jason from 1993 after Tommy chains Jason to the bottom of Crystal Lake! Tina would be 12 years old as the script states and by the time she is 18 (or 19), it would be the late 1990s!Short Recap of the Timeline
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is set in 1991
Friday the 13th Part VII: New Blood is set in 1993 (Near Decade long Timeskip) and is in 1998 for the post-flashback!
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan is set in 1999 (Could explain the Batman Logo/decomposition of Jason's corpse!)
Jason Goes to Hell is 2002 (Confirmation from Adam Marcus for this films timeline year)
Freddy Vs Jason 2003 (Confirmation from Shannon & Swift for this films timeline year)What If Timeline?
Tom Mcloughlin the Writer and Director of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives says that his film takes place in 1986 the year the actual movie was released so This is a WHAT IF scenario but ironically this just changes the year of birth for Tina and still places the film in 1998/1999 eras BUT it would still mean Tommy is FAR underage which isn't logical.Conclusion
I love that I am helping solve this amazing timeline conflict so we now have official confirmation from the actual source materials that The New Blood takes place in 1998! so as the thumbnail states, this DOESN'T change the timeline but makes it canon for the later films as well!

That's why I'm here! I love doing research, I love collecting information and passing it out and passing it onto others! This type of stuff is what I enjoy! Now it's also time to figure out the Part 4-6 timeliness mystery as well.
I am also gonna update it as well with new information as well! I completely went brain numbed and forgot other info!
