When we celebrate 20 years here, drinks around the campfire are on me.
I would love a meet up with members and stuff if 20 years does happen! I'll be about 44 or 45 by that time haha.

Well, Kat would be fine for a while then turn on someone without warning. The most innocent, mundane comment would draw anger.
People were banned for nothing. Public acknowledgement of the ban from Kat drew glad handing comments from members with no questions from anyone, even when no obvious cause for banning was seen anywhere in a member's posts.
Most moderators had at least 2000 posts, but one was put in place with less than 40. This particular moderator seemed to serve as Kat's attack dog on certain members. You could see this on the forum posting board. The moderator would send personal messages to members telling them were going to be banned and call them names.

Sounds like a Terrible place to me….. I never made it on to that forum but as fans we should be able to express our opinions or ideas without the fear of being attacked….. others might not agree with said opinions or ideas but being able to converse with fellow fans is what keeps these Franchises so popular…..I love hearing other people’s points of view and what they like or don’t like discussing things in an echo chamber isn’t fun at all.

Re: Camp Blood Forum
Kathrine is a very very trouble individual. I was great friends with her for about 10 years. I helped her pay for her website, helped her out financially and never once was that gratitude returned. I did it because i cared about her and I cared about the website which at one time had a huge reputation.
Yes its true she would gang up on people, block people for a difference of opinion and cause alot of problems with others. Her troubling behavior caused her to get fired from numerous jobs, Her alcohol dependency and violent nature caused her to lose her daughter. CPS took her away from her. She threatened to throw boiling hot water on an ex boyfriend. Got into numerous fist fights in front of her daughter. She uses people and then tosses them when she cant use them anymore. She would ask the community for money to help with the website. Then spend that cash on booze, drugs and etc. Then she would run to me or my friend greg.
I am in the process of re-buying the campblood.net domain and I will fix it and make it a great community for all of us to go to as well as this great site too. For right now friday the 13th.net is holding it down.

Am i throwing her under the bus? Fuck yes i am. The shit she put me and my wife through along with my friend Greg. Her behavior caused so much problems on facebook, her website, her personal life. Including many calls to the police. In which I had to call the cops on her one time and i live out of her state.

Good luck buying the domain. I'd like to see the forum run properly. I DID like it for a while at least, but then.......
Hopefully, you'll let me know if it's up and running so I can join that as well. Till hen this is the best place to be!!!!

Re: Camp Blood Forum
I've heard mixed about buying domains it either gonna erase the data or have it saved.
If you do bring it back, I hope the contents will be there and if not, its not bad to do a Restart.

I was sad when it left, and felt bad for people who put money into it, and it would be nice to have back but I really enjoy this site now as well. Alot of hard work was put into it and a great job was done!

Thank you! I am always adding new stuff to the forum and always advertising it for any Friday fan! I want this place to be the ultimate safe haven for us Friday the 13th fans.

I'm still alive....although I love to see toxic people I cut out of my life trash talking me years later lmao. Pathetic rather.
To update you all I had a child and simply, my child was more important then a website and I no longer had the time, energy or money to take care of the place. I lost my passion and put it into family. I had several close family members die....as well as abuse at the hands of a guy knut still talks to this day....which is why I cut him off...he likes to drink and trash talk anyone....
Still love F13th! Glad sites still exist! My now 8yr old daughter loves Horror.....but maybe a little too much haha! Peace Out

Was there never an option to have the website transferred or give new ownership??

I think you had asked me once to join together, but honestly I don't recall. I know a few people over the years offered to buy the site but had no clue what they were getting themselves into, so I didn't bother with it. But at the very end? not that i personally recall, but I had a ton of things going on at the time, so its very possible.

Accountability has never been your strong suit and thats ok. No one is perfect including myself. I like to drink and trash talk? Thats really all you would do yourself but deflection is easy when you twist the narrative . Which is why people starting bailing on your forum. I wasn't the only one who dealt with all that mess over there.
Let me correct one thing tho. I havent talked to mark in two years and havent heard from him since. You both were abusive to one another and Im glad I dont have to hear about that shit anymore.
with that being said, I hope you and your daughter are doing well.

Just out of curiousity, how was the Camp Blood forum so special? Was there like a big number of die-hard fans having tons of discussions related to F13 and horror in general? What year was the forum established and when was it gone? I'm just asking. Thank you.

Here are some screenshots before the Camp Blood forum closed it was about January 21st, 2021...
Camp Blood Forum had 2,050 Members, 132,720 Posts, and 5,085 Topics.
It had alot of visitors and die-hard fans it was one of the longest running F13 websites alongside the Friday the 13th Film website.
Brief History from what I know? The website been around since 1995, the forum was made in either 2007 or 2009 (Screenshot says 2007 but the website I go to has no screenshots/data but I'll go by the screenshot) so the website is iconic for its cultural history/purposes for the Friday the 13th Community.
In terms by the known websites+forums ages?
Camp Blood (Friday the 13th Website): 1995 - 2021
Friday the 13th Film Website: 2000 - Present
Friday the 13th Franchise Website: 2010 - Present
Then you have my Website existing since 2017

This is a pretty comprehensive answer. The Camp Blood site also had great marathons on the Friday the 13th dates that came out. It had a chat room that was used fairly well from what I saw, but it had its problems as well. Any sense of community was lost after a while.

Movie nights in chat were pretty big at one point. It was the longest running friday the 13th related forum for decades... I believe almost 20 years. So it was sentimental to a lot of people that grew up going to it.

Re: Camp Blood Forum
True. I'm really happy that I discovered it here. Almost thought I would never had a chance to discuss horror again! I know that feeling you have, I had the same when OHMB went down. Felt like an important part of my life was suddenly missing.
