the odds of getting a new movie

What's your take on getting a new Friday the 13th movie? Slim to none, or just none?

I've tried to be optimistic about getting a new film after the lawsuit ended, but I just don't know anymore.

It all depends...

Do you want a F13 with just Pamela being the killer or do you want a F13 with Jason without the origin story?

Then we would have to wait for Sean Cunningham, it will be Jason just without Pamela and the whole origins.

I'm always optimistic, but honestly, so much time has passed that I have no idea anymore. I would certainly love to see one, this series deserves better! But it's money that rule the world, not what fans want.

They use to care...then it was pure money grabs...I do hope we get something actually new to the storyline.

What's sad is Jason is a centerpiece of the franchise and there's a chance newcomers won't hear the origin story.

I used to be optimistic about a new movie, especially after the lawsuit was over. Hell, for all its flaws (in my opinion) the remake made almost $100 million, so there's definitely money to be made.

At this point, I'd go see whatever they put in theaters. I was cautiously optimistic about the Peacock prequel series. I wasn't really sure what kind of story they could tell since we know the backstory of Mrs. Voorhees and the camp, but if it was done right it could at least be a fun ride.

At this point I've pretty much given up hope of getting a new film, reboot or otherwise.

slim to none now with this jason universe stuff. The studios want a cut if they make a new movie.. sean and victor want to cash it quickly as fast as possible before they even negotiate with the studios. This could take YEARS again.

Yeah Sean Cunningham said due to the pandemic alot of stuff has increased with economy so I agree with him but 2-3 years for a new movie!? Jesus!
