sequels as stand alone films
What horror sequels do you think would have made good stand-alone films? How about Halloween 3 or Friday the 13th part 5?

Yeah Halloween 3 could have just been titled Season of the Witch and it would have likely made it own series more than it being tied to Michael.
It's a sad fact but the only GOOD thing about Friday the 13th Part V is the fact it was so hated and poorly received by fans it had caused the resurrection of Jason Voorhees and gave us Jason Lives and such actors like C.J. Graham, Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke, Tom Fridley, Vincent Guastaferro, and Tom Mcloughlin!

I wonder if they had called Halloween 3 The Season of the Wirch, it would've been more popular and more money.

If it was a legitimate sequel with Michael? Sure
But if it was based on the current Masks theme? Likely not

I guess the whole mask marketing schme wasn't a great idea for this kind of mivie in this franchise.
