Kane Hodder unspoken Rule about Jason Voorhees?
Todd Farmer the scriptwriter for Jason X has mentioned in an AV Club interview about unspoken rules for Friday the 13th and unspoken rules for Jason Voorhees this is where Mr.Farmer stated this!
Todd Farmer: And then Kane let us know that there is one more rule that we didn’t even know existed and that is, you never see Jason get up. You can knock him down three or four times, but you never see him get up. He was like, Don’t do that. Because it’s awkward, and you never want to see Jason be that human.”
I have been meeting and talking to Kane Hodder for years now (Mostly from Mad Monster Party/Mad Monster Expo since 2018) and I always ask him questions about the Jason Voorhees character from the dominate hand (as he corrected me when I was dressed up as Part 7 Jason), the do's and dont's, and then so on and I can confirm what Todd Farmer has mentioned in this 2023 interview as Kane has said that "you really should keep the mystery of Jason intact" and that knocking him down is "Fine" but showing him getting up is far to humanizing and I have taken notes from me and his meetings as well for my own future Friday the 13th fan film projects in the future.
So it should be noted before more people get out of context about this statement like they do many other times before with Kane Hodder's words about the character is that he is referring to REVENANT ZOMBIE JASON, not a HUMAN JASON! and before someone says "He DoEsN't HaVe a SaY oVeR a ChArAcTeR!" well you are wrong as Kane Hodder has played Jason 4-times linearly where he has kept Jason Voorhees consistent canonically through the 4 last films before the 2009 remake, and it should be noted that even writers/directors have consulted with Kane as well about the character itself due to his experience of playing the slasher character and yes some directors/writers can/could ignore his wisdom in future reboots/remakes but for now this is still canonical to the original series!

I can Confirm!

Yup I think closest to him getting up was when he punched through the wrecked porch in The New Blood but we don’t actually see him get up.

And the puddle scene but I think this is being a unspoken Rule after Part VIII because we don't see him get up in Jason Takes Manhattan.

Yup. We never saw him get up in JTM. He just appeared and was walking around after his electrocution if I remember correctly.
