Stake Land

This 2010 movie was about the aftermath of a vampire apocalypse. Mortal humans live in armed, isolated communities with vampires controlling the areas in between. The main character is a young boy escorted by a man known only as Mister, who is quite skilled at killing the undead. Mister took the boy under his wing after killing the vampires who murdered the boy's parents, and he promised the parents he would watch over the boy.

The story follows their trip towards Eden, a refuge that is in Canada and vampire free. Mister trains the boy on killing the undead. Along the way, the group grows, picking up survivors, one of whom is played by our friend Danielle Harris. We follow their travels, get to know them, and once we start caring about them, the survivors Mister and the boy pick up die one by one.

I liked this film. Plot aside, it mirrors my life in some ways. As I travel through life, I've met a lot of good (and bad) people. I've made and lost a lot of friends, mostly in college. I found parts of the movie very sad for this reason.

LOL! Listen the premise is cool but I would have thought more for Vampires/Lore than about dialogue and flashbacks.

It's NOT bad but Stakeland didn't keep my attention to the entirety of the film.
