What was your worst job?

We've all had a job we'd never do again even if we got paid a lot more to do it.

The worst job I had was at a lumber yard. There was an indoor store and an outside yard for holding the lumber, insulation and a lot of roofing stuff. I was the guy who stood by the gate letting people in and out, checking receipts. There were a lot of homeowners who went there who weren't too bad. The contractors were the guys who ran their own businesses and were always looking to cut corners and save money, even if theft was involved. Some were good guys, but others weren't. These guys were the ones trying to sneak into the store after closing and say someone let them in, when they really didn't. They knew they could get one over on the store manager and get price breaks that were totally bogus.

I was in college getting my bachelor's degree at the time and lived with mom and dad. One day, a contractor saw me getting the mail, and actually turned around and followed me down my driveway to ask me store related questions. The next thing you know, other contractors were showing up. Some came after dinner, some first thing in the morning. We had to get cops involved.

What was the worst job YOU had?

Most jobs i have had i cant keep or adjust to the tone of my surroundings.

Example.The Bosses and Higher ups expect a person to walk into a room and think quick and quickly comprohend and understand the dress code and what is expected of them just by the tone of the work area.

The Bosses want you to be able to walk into a room and instantly comprohend and understand the dress code by looking at other people.

If people have to stop working to help you with common sense things,then the bosses will move you into isolation and give you a job that requires no thinking and where you cannot offend or bother other people.

Alot of places want people in management that can walk into a room and understand whats going on within 50 seconds.

Ive been told that Time is money and companies cant afford to stop working and to babysit and help people who have no comprohension skills or no understanding of normalcy.

I would have to say my worst job was at OfficeMax. Not because of the work itself, but because of the manic depressive bully of a store manager. I am being honest about that, not from a disgruntled worker point of view. He was an arrogant bully who had fits of rage that he took out on us workers. At the time I was also working for our local civic center as security and scoreboard operator, and he would deliberately schedule me so it would clash with events I was scheduled to work. It was with the greatest pleasure when I applied and got hired at a local retail outfit called K's Merchandise that I quit the same day at OfficeMax and walked out. I heard later he got fired for stealing electronics and committed suicide. But the job itself wasn't so bad of it hadn't been for him. All my other jobs I've worked at for over 10 years each and probably still would have been at K's had it not hone out of business

I Worked property preservation and lawn care for about a year and a half.
My boss got furious when i would wear band t shirts.
Because the Rich people neighborhoods the people would call the police if you looked weird or scruffy.
So my boss stressed how he needed to buy some work shirts.

Honestly havent had one yet!

There's "incidents" but I can't say its the worst lol! just means I won't be working back haha.
