It would be ironic if he was that close to Joey the whole time, assuming the halfway house was nearby.

Good catch bro. Shame they had to trade the van in for that old station wagon lol. Suppose the van was in the shop when Roy was on his killing spree?

Maybe Roy was so angry at seeing Joey murdered he vandalized the van.
