let's say you get hired as the shieriff of Crystal Lake, what are you doing?

Are you aware of the history and always checking out Crystal Lake just in case? or do you shrug it off?

I would shrug it off because its well-documented to NOT enter.

I would check for trespassers

I would put in for a transfer asap….. fuck that Job.

Especially if I am aware of the History…. And with technology today at the tip of your fingers anytime no amount of history can be hidden so…….anyone who knows about what happened at Crystal Lake and stays is just absolutely off their rocker…
This Sheriff would move on to Greener pastures….or get out of that line of work.

Being the hard case that I am, I'd be watching Crystal Lake VERY closely. And have Creighton Duke on as deputy.

After collecting a fresh batch of bodies, I'd have to at least look into it. I'd also have to inquire about Deputy Winslow's whereabouts.

I would have 3 or 4 deputies armed with 12 gauage shotguns at all times. Pistols and rifles don't work, but shotshells slow him down. I would have the camp and grave site checked on a regular basis and take any missing persons report seriously. Any trespassing would be seriously punished as well as any vandalism on any Vorhees grave. I would coordinate with state police to comb the woods and if possible have national guard perform maneuvers there as much as possible. Locate the cabin and tear it down as well. And if Jason ever surfaces again and we get him. I would lock him in a solid steel box and bury it in ten feet of concrete with a camera mounted on the inside to make sure he's still there. And that burial site would be a super secret

What would happen if he got out of the solid steel box?

Same old mayhem, I suppose. The only permanent solution would be to launch him into the sun, which I believe is out of the Pinehurst county budget

Given that most sheriffs are elected you would have had to run for the position. Who would want that?
