Michael wasn't the original killer?

Have you heard the theory that Michael Myers was NOT the original Killer for Halloween? There's a theory that Dr. Loomis tried to get the ball rolling himself.

Who's have thought?

I have never heard of anything like this before.

I would heavily doubt loomis would be a killer by his own free will.

Interesting concept but not sure if that was John Carpenters original concept or something suggested to him…… either way glad it didn’t go that route.

I think the original idea had Loomis provoking Michael into killing. It's thought he was treating Judith Myers.

This would be a franchise changer.

There may be an angle here. Suppose Judith was infected with the rage first and it was transferred to Michael the night he killed her the same way Jamie was affected in Part 4. Loomis could have been treating/studying Judith and succeeded in expelling it from her, only for it to be passed on to Michael. Loomis realized what he had done and tried to make sure his mistake would be locked up
