Final Girl candidates

I was wondering how you felt about these characters being the Final Girl in their respective movies.

1) Rachel in Halloween 5
2) Laurie Strode in Halloween H20
3) Kirby - Scream 4
4) Annie - Original Friday the 13th
5) Jamie Lloyd - Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers

Oooh candidates! This is a tricky decision making!

1) Rachel should have been the Final Girl in Halloween 5 it was an absolute travesty killing her off…… what a bone Head move for H-5 even if she had died protecting Jamie at the Farm party or the Myers house would have been a better utilization of her Character.

2) H20 is a great sequel to Halloween 2 however if they truly embraced Halloween instead of Scream as it’s Blueprint it would have made a much better sequel.

3)Kirby was a memorable character in Scream 4 I definitely enjoyed her in it…. I think her “death” was well placed I actually didn’t see it coming. Scream 4 is my favorite of the Scream Sequels.

4)Annie was way too oblivious to be a final Girl…

5) absolutely This Jamie was completely screwed over in Halloween 6….. they should have Brought back Danielle Harris and had her survive at least till the End of the movie like Every script For the film had planned for that movie.

Rachel being killed off so early in pt 5 ruined the movie. Lose all interest

I liked Kara in pt 6. it was actually the actress's first movie

Rachel's death was a bit of a surprise but I can understand why Michael would want to eliminate her first, given all the trouble she gave him in Part4. Wendy and Kelly both put up fights in Part 5 with Wendy sacrificing herself to save Jamie, but neither were final girl material. Laurie in H20 had all the characteristics of being an easy target with her alcoholism and denial, but when pushed to fight she did so with an Ellen Ripley quality. Kirby in Scteam 4 to me was basically fodder for Ghostface's knife and not much more. She was cute and had personality, but was an inevitable victim. Annie had a bubbly personality and was cute, indeed I thought she was the prettiest girl in Part 1, but she didn't do much to evade Pamela and got herself cornered, making herself too easy of a victim. And Jamie Lloyd in Part 6 had the will and desire to protect her child from Michael, but with it not being Danielle Harris, her character was an easy write off.

Laurie Strode in H20 will always hold a place in heart as a final girl.

I do wish Jamie in H6 had lasted a bit longer.
