Why was Jason so obsessed with her?

She fell into what he considers “his lake” so it was his territory. Regardless of if that really was him or not, and I doubt it since she just had visions of him, then I think he was like “oh yeah her. Gotta deal with her!” She knew who he was and he couldn’t let her live as well.

Hmmmmm, I would argue she is actually obsessed with Jason.
She is the one hallucinating child Jason all over the place and haunting her…..

I really can’t make sense of part 8….. if she was in the Lake as a child it would have been an adult Jason that would have tried to pull her down….. I am convinced that’s where her hallucinations started and Jason was never there pulling her down….she was just traumatized by nearly drowning and the story Mculloch told her…..

Jason just wanted her dead just like anyone else….she said “you didn’t get me in the Lake and you won’t get me now .” Because she is a delusional psychopath lol

Yeah, I didn't understand that either...if they were both kids (Unless its an illusion) then Rennie must be the oldest person in her school "Student" wise.

I always thought that when she fell into the lake, she formed some kind of bond with Jason and he was sort of drawn to her like Michael was with Laurie. He had to be the one to kill her, which is why he saved her from the junkies
