One of the best directors and producers I’ve ever seen. Directed two of my favorite movies, The Goonies and Superman The Movie. He was always wanting to make a sequel to The Goonies and make one more Lethal Weapon movie. He helped me believe that a man could fly along with everyone involved in Superman The Movie and I loved his cut of Superman II. R.I.P.

Same here. I have fond memories of watching The Goonies on NBC when they aired it on Thanksgiving if I remember right back in the day.

He wanted to do one more Lethal Weapon film to wrap it up and talked about it after 4 came out. I would’ve loved to have seen it.

Also, I truly believe if it hadn’t been for Superman The Movie, I wouldn’t have my favorite tv show of all time, Smallville. Richard Donner making that movie set the stage for all Superman media to come in the future. I definitely have a major appreciation for everything he did.
