Tina resurrecting Jason in Part 7
At the start of Part 7, Tina Shepherd resurrects Jason Voorhees with telekinesis. Seconds later, Jason (now free from his underwater shackles) rises to the surface, only to notice Tina before she passes out.
Despite spotting Tina, Jason walks out of the lake; wandering away from the area.
Ergo, my question(s) for everyone: why didn't Jason start with Tina? Did Jason opt to scan the surrounding area for more intruders before heading back? Or were there too many eye witnesses with Tina's mother and Dr. Cruz nearby?

It's hard to tell what Jason thought. With Tina passing out the way she did, he may have thought she was already dead. He may very well have been in " what's going on around here" mode.

He probably thought she was dead, that's my guess

Because we know Jason won't let any intruders get away.

Re: Tina resurrecting Jason in Part 7
If Jason followed Tom McLoughlin (director of Part 6)'s approach, Jason would have checked over Tina's body and began hacking her up ...just to make sure.
Then Part 7 would certainly have had a much shorter run time.
Personally, I feel Jason wanted to scan the perimeter; feeling that one single sighting wouldn't be enough to cause any panic. If anything, Jason probably assumed that Tina's friends & family would have discredited Tina for spotting "a man in the lake" as just Tina seeing things.
Jason's tactics worked out effectively enough, as the end of Part 7, Melissa (the last on-screen killing) is completely unaware of Jason's murders in the area - right up until she meets her demise with an axe to the head.

Has Jason ever killed anyone who was asleep or unconscious? As near as I can recall, he only kills people who are awake, with the exception of the passed out girl in Freddy vs Jason. Maybe he prefers to catch people off guard and see and feel their terror before they die at his hands

you could technically say yes. People who have gone to bed get killed

I just thought he either didn’t see her or just thought she was already dead. Knowing what he went through later, he probably would’ve checked on her and then killed her since she became a major thorn in his side.

Methinks the writers of these films don't ponder them as deeply as some of us do.
