Thoughts on all movies
I'm bored and decided to give some opinions that have been on my mind on these movies. Not a ranking just thoughts
Friday the 13th-I like this movie, I like the pace of it, today's horror movies, and even the later ones of this series were just kill, kill, kill. I do wish Steve had been a suspect at the end of being the ones doing the killing. Maybe Alice is with Mrs Voohrees and Steve sees them looks at Pamela and says "What are you doing out here?" and then Pamela attacks him and then chases Alice. Something like that. It's interesting to go back and watch this after knowing what was to come
Pt 2--To me this has the best chase scene. To this day when I watch it, I still get fully invested in it. I love that they didn't have it raining during the chase. When Ginny hides under the bed, I can place myself in her shoes and feel what she is feeling. This is such a well done film. I would have liked to see Ted show up at the end and finding Ginny passed out exhausted but oh well. i also find it interesting the cops didn't know about the shack. They clearly kept a eye on the area but maybe they just never went that far?
pt 3-This movie was a huge favorite of mine but has fallen. It's a bridge movie between 2+4 and it does it's job. It does feel rushed and i feel like they could have done more with the barn. Not much to say about this one.
pt 4-This feels like the most "motion picture" type movie. Hard to explain but it feels like maximum effort was put into this. Rob dying was shocking, well dying when he did. I figured he might have put himself in front of Trish and Tommy and Jason would get him as they escape. This is a good effective film
pt 5- Gets a lot of hate and i understand why but I always find it entertaining. I still think Matt not Roy should have been the killer. Matt gets jealous of Pam's relationship with Tommy and decides to take action as Jason and tries to frame it on Tommy. The Grandpa dying was shocking. This is a perfect Sat night pizza flick if you wanna watch something you aren't wanting to be fully invested in
pt 6-Zombie Jason!> This makes up for pt 5. I do find the fall setting a bit off putting, just doesn't have the summer time feel. I like the interactions we see between Sheriff Garris and Tommy and it was interesting seeing actual kids to. I did find it sad Sheriff Garris had to be a victim. I really like Megan too. One of my favorites. I wish Sheriff Garris caught up with Tommt and Megan and admitted Tommy was right
pt 7--not a fan and I have talked about it before. I just have no interest in the story line. Lar Park Lincoln does a wonderful job and so does Terry Kiser who I would have liked to see more of. To the ones that like this, I'm glad and i hope one day I can finally appreciate it but so far I haven't been able to
pt 8-Well that was a misleading title, but I enjoy this film. i love the character Rennie. I think her character is great and I love the "evil" Uncle Charles. Very well acted. Tamara being killed off on the boat was a mistake. I would have LOVED seeing her in NYC. I would have liked to see more New York action of course, but I enjoy this. I love the grimy dark New York setting
pt 9- i don't think I have ever seen this movie in full. I don't like the idea of body hopping
Jason X-Cheesy, it's bad but also humorous.
Freddy vs Jason-So much to complain about but I won't. I like Monica Keena as Lori, I liked the Gibb Smith character played by Katharine Isabelle. Actually i like all of the characters to be honest.I enjoyed the atmosphere of the movie but it was just a bit to dark visually for me. This is a fun summertime late night movie
Friday the 13th reboot-It has good parts and bad parts. I like the setting of where they are located. It can BE a entertaining movie in parts where I really enjoy this

(((((( I always love reading opinions or thoughts or suggestions on these classic films.))))))

(((((( Even though this is the Film that started the franchise….it’s not one of my favorite films in the series….. I agree that Steve was underutilized and felt like he was written off the screen for the majority of the movie comes back and killed quite quickly…. I know he was meant to be a suspect for us during the viewing of the movie but when his death comes it’s way too fast…… I think if this type of whodunnit movie was made today they would have really played up who the true killer was in a even more glorious fashion other than a monologue….. don’t get me wrong I love Betsy Palmer’s reveal but for today’s standards it was quite tame.))))))))))))
Pt 2--To me this has the best chase scene. To this day when I watch it, I still get fully invested in it. I love that they didn't have it raining during the chase. pt 9- i don't think I have ever seen this movie in full. I don't like the idea of body hopping
(((((( Surprise!! it’s one of my Favorites!!! Lol I know right.
Love the look of Jason and the complete flip on the mythology of what Jason is and know about him and what he is capable of up to this point.
I also wish we got more of the Creighton Duke character.)))))
Jason X-Cheesy, it's bad but also humorous.
((((((( Lol another of my favorites lol !!! I just love the fact that you can turn this movie on without watching any of the other movies before it and it feels like a stand-alone complete story…… nothing needed before or after it’s viewing…….it’s incredibly absurd yet highly entertaining.)))))))

While I enjoyed this movie, I found parts of it a bit - repelling. Steve Christie should have never been wearing shorts. I think Officer Dorf was a nice touch, but he could have been used more maybe???? Ned was annoying, but that's what makes guys like him slasher movie cannon fodder. NEVER investigate a strange noise by yourself!!!! It seems like Kevin Bacin had the most come out of his acting career.
Pt 2--To me this has the best chase scene. To this day when I watch it, I still get fully invested in it. I love that they didn't have it raining during the chase. I liked this movie as well. Creative kills and Jason!!!! I could really have done without Scott and his slingshot. I wish Crazy Ralph had lived, BUT it's a slasher movie and people gotta go. That shack Jason used should have been found earlier with police being "concerned" enough to keep people like Jeff and Sandra from trespassing. I've said this before, and I'll say it again - the Crystal Lake police department is a few bricks short of a load.
pt 3-This movie was a huge favorite of mine but has fallen. It's a bridge movie between 2+4 and it does it's job. It does feel rushed and i feel like they could have done more with the barn. Not much to say about this one.
this was the first movie I saw in the franchise. I wanted to see more when I was done!!!!
pt 4-This feels like the most "motion picture" type movie. Hard to explain but it feels like maximum effort was put into this. Rob dying was shocking, well dying when he did. I figured he might have put himself in front of Trish and Tommy and Jason would get him as they escape. This is a good effective film
I know this is heresy, but I never enjoyed this one. I never related to partying. I don't really like how Ted treated Jim. But Ted did meet Jason. I have to admit I was disturbed to see a little boy killing Jason. Some of the kills WERE creative though!!!!
pt 5- Gets a lot of hate and i understand why but I always find it entertaining. I still think Matt not Roy should have been the killer. Matt gets jealous of Pam's relationship with Tommy and decides to take action as Jason and tries to frame it on Tommy. The Grandpa dying was shocking. This is a perfect Sat night pizza flick if you wanna watch something you aren't wanting to be fully invested in
I never got off on this movie either. First off, no Jason!!!! I DID like some of the kills. Remember the greasers?
pt 6-Zombie Jason!> This makes up for pt 5. I wish Sheriff Garris caught up with Tommt and Megan and admitted Tommy was right
Part 6 was good. Megan really made this movie for me. I know slasher movie characters are at times, dumb, but why is a cop combing his hair while everyone is looking for a brutal killer? Maybe that's a minor point I should be laughing at.
pt 7--not a fan and I have talked about it before. I just have no interest in the story line. Lar Park Lincoln does a wonderful job and so does Terry Kiser who I would have liked to see more of. To the ones that like this, I'm glad and i hope one day I can finally appreciate it but so far I haven't been able to
I was impressed with Kane Hodder here. He set the tone. Of course, the telekinesis didn't need to be there. I know I'll be faulted by those who wonder why I can accept a killer who can't seem to die, but it's STILL my opinion. Deal with it. I liked Heidi Kozak in this one.
pt 8-Well that was a misleading title, but I enjoy this film. i love the character Rennie. I think her character is great and I love the "evil" Uncle Charles. Very well acted. Tamara being killed off on the boat was a mistake. I would have LOVED seeing her in NYC. I would have liked to see more New York action of course, but I enjoy this. I love the grimy dark New York setting
I saw this in the theater when people started to think Jason was being played for laughs. I was called a sucker when someone saw me going in the theater to see it. I liked the girl rocker in the movie. It just seemed so - "80s". Although heavy music was still male dominated at the time. Maybe it still is, but a lot of good heavy metal female musicians are getting news now. Anyway, there were creative kills here. Think the guy trying to box Jason on the roof. Did you notice they passed the same place twice in the fight?
pt 9- i don't think I have ever seen this movie in full. I don't like the idea of body hopping
I HATED JGTH. The body hopping was silly.
Jason X-Cheesy, it's bad but also humorous.
I saw Jason X in the theater- all by myself. I liked it though. Rowan was a great final girl.
For ME, Fredy vs. Jason was a crossover movie that didn't do much for me. While it had creative kills (think Trey in bed), some things didn't appeal to me. The kid standing over Gibb when she was passed out drunk gave me the willies since he was essentially trying to get some. I hate to sound prudish, nut that went a little too far for me. I could relate to Linderman though.
Friday the 13th reboot-It has good parts and bad parts. I like the setting of where they are located. It can BE a entertaining movie in parts where I really enjoy this
I liked the 2009 movie. I think it was gritty and realistic in terms of the tunnels. I know people will disagree with me on that, BUT I think it was a clever angle. Donnie was just a little too freaky with the mannequin, but hey, SOMEONE had to get Jason his hockey mask.

Re: Thoughts on all movies
I'll post my general thoughts on the films....
Part 1 - This begs for a twist where we find out during the climax that Jason is still alive.
Part 2 - Easily the best film in the franchise. It's realistic and Jason is at his creepiest here with the sack.
Part 3 - I don't like this one nearly as much as I did when I was a kid. The cast doesn't gel and the story in general is inconsistent... although that becomes par for the course.
Part 4 - Best thing about this is its cast. This also has dropped a few notches since my youth. The way the Jarvis family disappears in the second act really bothers me. It feels like they tried cramming two F13 stories into one here.
Part 5 - Garbage.
Part 6 - This one gets better with age. It's the most unique take on the story. Half monster movie/half comedy. I also like the lack of nudity/sex in this film. As I get older, I realize how unnecessary a lot of that really was.
Part 7 - I hated this with a passion in my youth. I've since warmed up to it a bit. A good cast and I like the realistic vibe of the party. Yeah the story is ridiculous but you just gotta roll with it.
Part 8 - This is when I stopped caring about the franchise. It was an insult to fans. Everything about this is garbage.
The rest I care less than nothing about.

Good observation on pt 3 about cast not gelling. never noticed but it's true. They really don't interact a whole lot. Once they get to Higgins Haven they pretty much all go their own way
