Who calls the cops, especially in the first 3 movies?

Did someone see a girl floating in a boat on the lake in the original?

How about after the events of parts 2 and 3?

Part 2: It was likely a routine camp patrol or even hikers.

Part 3: It was likely someone who went looking for their kids, and instead of a patrol finding them alive they find them deceased.

1)My guess is Steve's jeep never made it back to camp so police checked up after they found it still broken down on the road

2)the campers who came back from the bar

3)probably a routine inspection

In the original, I'll bet it was Officer Dorf. He wasn't " gonna stand for any funny business out here".

I think part 3, since it was the day/days after pt 2 cops ended up coming across the area and found them. Of course you think they would have been there earlier in real life, since they would have been in all surrounding areas looking for the killer

Other than that no idea

I also find it interesting TED was such a big part of #2 and then once Ginny and Paul left the bar Ted was out of the picture
