Re: 2025 Horror Movies and Sequels: M3GAN 2, Bambi & More
Wolf Man would probably be at the top of my list. Love Werewolves, love the original, I still trust Blumhouse enough to treat it with respect, despite Halloween Ends, lol. For 28 Years later, it feels like it's been long enough since 28 Weeks to warrant a sequel, so I'm here for it. I enjoyed the first two Conjuring Films, so I have some hope for Part 4. Being a big fan of the lore behind FNAF, of course I'm going to be curious to see how they adapt it to screen.
I'll watch Saw XI, but I wouldn't say I anticipate it... I might have to check out early though if they stretch my suspension of disbelief any further with another proxy killer and more 'games' Jigsaw has set up despite long being dead. Kind of ironic how they kind of Friday the 13th'd themselves with Tobin Bell.
I know What You Did Last Summer could be interesting... I doubt it would feel like a Scream spin-off this time around, my main complaint with the original, since that's no longer the template for Slasher Movies. I'm going to have to see the Trailer and how the cast acts... I don't think I can stomach another Zoomer Slasher film.
I have little to no interest in the rest. We definitely didn't need another Insidious, and the first Megan did absolutely nothing for me.

The trailer for Wolf Man looks good. I'd like to see Megan 2.0. Personally, I'm not sure where the whole Insidious thing is going. I don't need to see the 28 Years Later thing.
I Know What You Did Last Summer will no doubt be a legacy movie.

We can all agree the insidious stuff is becoming very diluted in terms of storytelling right?

Yeah, it does kinda go without saying.

Yeah, it does kinda go without saying.
I'll say Paranormal Activity had different people, locations, and interesting plotlines.

Do you think the simplicity of the first film gave it a certain charm?

Oh 100% it did, it was linear, very suspenseful, and kept you guessing on what is gonna happen next, the unsettling part is the wife staring at her husband from the bed for many people, for me it's the fact the found footage part of the ending is the best for the franchise.

What about the sequels? Do you think they may have gotten watered down a bit?

It definitely got watered down a bit but atleast Paranormal Activity is doing something more unique that it isn't just tied to a single family but multiple ones and it's coming back full circle.
