Eerie scenes with Michael Myers
Michael had an eeriness factor about him.
It seems like he's scary in ways that you might not expect. At the end of the original movie, he got up and left after being shot 6 times.
In part 2 (1981) the tires of each vehicle in the parking lot were shown to be cut. As the characters leave, we get a shot where Michael is seen in a side mirror of one of the vehicles. The nurse checking on Dr. Bixter has no idea he's standing in the dark right behind her, and he sneaks up on Nurse Jill right before he dispatches her.
In part 4, the car with the sheriff and Loomis leaves after the confrontation with the kids wearing masks only to where we see Michael was right behind the car all along.
What's your take on all this? What was your favorite scene where Michael makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end?

OG scene when Michael was hiding in the shadows behind Laurie is definitely one of the most eerie things for hell, him being in some scenes and is unnoticed is even more eerie.

Always been one of my favorite aspects of Michael's Character. My favorites will always be the scenes where he just appears out of the shadows... That shot where that white mask just appears behind Laurie during the climax of the original is just perfect, and really earns him that 'Shape' nickname. There's a similar scene in P4, not as good, but a nice throwback.
I've watched Halloween 6 quite a few times, and it was only a couple of years ago that I noticed Michael just loitering around in the background while the cast is just walking around the grounds of the University. It also took me an embarrassing amount of time to notice Michael driving the car that passes by Loomis during the hardware store scene.

Like when Loomis is standing on the street and Michael drives right past him in the original?

It took me a while to notice the car scene too, and I felt dumb knowing the logo on the car stood out like a sore thumb.

Yup! Moments where "He's there" and no one even notices is what thrillers should do.

Re: Eerie scenes with Michael Myers
Michael has become less scary with 13 movies and the attempt of the filmmakers to make him some sort of zombie. But if you watch a single movie of the series without this in mind, you can for sure still find plenty of scary scenes. While not exactly a type of scene as the ones you mentioned before, I personally love when he completely destroys the door in Halloween: H20, while looking John and Molly (Laurie?). And is then hit by the fire extinguisher. Michael surely got a lot of beating himself since 1978.
