favorite movie quotes
Do you have a quote from a movie that strikes as really good?
Here's mine:
"In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to work outside the law to pursue a natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid option. It's an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment."
This is from the 2004 version of The Punisher.
Tell me your favorite quote.

Re: favorite movie quotes
"I met him, 15 years ago; I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding in even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. I met this... six-year-old child with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and... the blackest eyes - the Devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up, because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... evil." - Sam Loomis

Re: favorite movie quotes
Here's another favorite of mine from a 2006 movie called Gridiron Gang.
This is it. The day you've been waiting for. I know you're nervous. I'm nervous to. It's my first game too. NOW IS THE TIME to do what you've practiced for. NOW IS THE TIME to show everyone that EVEN THOUGH YOU"RE LOCKED UP, YOU"RE SOMEBODY!!!! NOW IS THE TIME to show everyone that you can do something special, something no one else can do. That you can hold your head up high and call yourself a Mustang!!!!
The Rock was playing a character named Coach Porter. I think his real name is Dewayne Thomas?
Even though this was atypical, cliched movie, I thought it was a really powerful quote. You've got characters where everything is stacked against them trying to break out of a rut of poverty and criminal behavior.
Personally, I can identify with people who have been marginalized and treated as invisible. I hope you all understand. I'd like to think we're all friends here. That's why I made this post.
