Rest in Peace Charles Cyphers
We have lost another Horror Icon!...we lost our original, Sheriff Brackett aka Leigh Brackett from the original John Carpenter 1978 Halloween, and reprised the character twice, in Halloween II, and Halloween Ends 2021...
Those who remeber him and his character can cite his iconic voice line...
"It's Halloween. Everyone's entitled to one good scare."
This was delivered in the original film, and has been a quote established with his role as the character.
Charles Cyphers and his character has also appeared in the Comics adoptions for the Halloween adapation and a homage character played by Brad Dourif (Chucky from Child's Play) but as Sherrif Lee Brackett instead of Leigh.
It's a blow to the Halloween franchise because Charles character was and is a fan favorite for most.
Charles Cyphers was born July 28th, 1939 and left us on August 4th, 2024.

Shock, what do I tell you. He was definitely one of my favorite characters from the first two movies. Despite not doing anything significant to stop Michael as a member of the police force, the man got a character and is therefore worth remembering. RIP.

Im happy that he got the chance to celebrate his birthday and to also reprise a character that's majority associated with him.
Blumhouse truly gave him and his family a bigger legacy within his family tree.

I think the character felt a major sense of loss with Annie's death.

I agree! Annie was his daughter, what father wouldn't feel the ultimate pain?

And it wasn't the fault of Dr. Loomis either.
