I saw Trap this evening. It's the latest from M. Night Shamalan and has his daughter(?) starring as a singer giving the Taylor Swift style monster concert in town.
Our friend from Halloween H20 Josh Hartnett stars as Cooper, a doting father who's taking his teenage daughter Riley to the big concert. Naturally, he's got really great seats to the show after Riley got 4 A's on her latest report card.
Cooper takes Riley out to a T shirt stand and strikes up a chat with the guy (Jessie) selling all kinds of merch any teenage girl would give her soul to own. Cooper has noticed a large police presence at the concert arena, and they seem to be checking out the adult males taking their kids to the concert, and all the exits are swarming with SWAT officers. Jessie the Concessionaire likes Cooper enough to tell him that there's a tip the serial killer called The Butcher is known to be at the concert, and the cops are setting a trap, hence the name of the movie. Jessie even gives Cooper thew passcode for employees, as we see Cooper stealing Jessie's employee badge.
In case you haven't figured it out, Cooper is The Butcher. He has to find a way to get out of the arena after the show without tipping off the authorities. Of course, the REAL mystery here is: How do the cops know The Butcher is there?
M. Night Shamalan does his cameo as the uncle of the singer throwing the concert.

Eeeeeh...I love the actor but after the Last Airbender and his Glass sequel...I don't know...
